conspire (v. to breathe together) is an intergenerational art oasis in bedstuy built for qtpoc femme minds and spirits to expand endlessly. the space is dedicated to amplifying life-affirming and experimental artistic expression. long before the entertainment industry and art industrial complex, the artist was the village healer. our gatherings, practices, and governance are communal.
we are building alternative art and worker-owned infrastructure that provides performance space, practice space, learning forums, and resources for the artist community that actively resists existing power structures.
our programming includes alternative higher education, idea exchange, experimental shows, our own archive, label, political organizing, and radio / self-streaming, screenings.
our intergenerational collective consists of queer sound artists, metal workers, djs, beekeepers, archivists, sculptors, visual artists. our entire sound system and lighting system is built by an all queer femme technologist team.
